NFL player Chad Ochocinco “bribed” an official during a football match

leave a comment »

I must say this one is really funny. I enjoy watching those touchdown antics from way back. Like the team dancing, salutes, to other more weird stuff like eating a chocolate bar at the end zone.. and one guy calling his wife at the endzone. I think he was asked to stop doing that after each touchdown as it was labeled as taunting. But this scene were a football player tried to “bribe”a linesman using a $1 bill was indeed entertaining.. for me!

🙂

How To Setup Emails: Leave a copy of messages in the server for POP

leave a comment »

Today I was asked by one of my colleagues how to setup his email in the office. He has already setup his email at home and in his blackberry, but everytime he opens the mails in the office, he cannot get a copy at home.

Why? The emails that are opened in the office are deleted from the server. Leaving a copy in the server is very important if you wish to access your POP3 account in more than one location. Here is the steps.

1.) Open Microsoft Outlook
2.) Click Tools from the top menu, then Account Settings.
3.) Double click on the account you want to edit.
4.) click the More Settings button
5.) Go to the Advanced tab
6.) Check “Leave a copy of messages in the server”

That should be it. This is for Microsoft Outlook 2007. For other versions it should be slightly different but, the important part is to get to “More Settings” and then the Advanced tab.

😉

I hope it helps.

President Gloria Arroyo can run for VP

with 5 comments

Oh! I have just read in the news today. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has the option to run as vice president this coming May 10 elections. This is what her legal experts are saying, and she does not need to resign from her current position as President. Maybe she can, because it is just the presidency that she cannot ‘run’ for, as it will be a violation of the Philippine constitution.

But her running for Vice Presidency is absolute nonsense in my opinion. Isn’t something close to “self-demotion”? You have been seated at the highest political post in the country, and after your term ends, you will run for “2nd best”?

I don’t think she will do that though. And if she does, will she win? Will you vote?

iPhone home button not working

leave a comment »

Someone twitted this problem yesterday. She said she had problems with her iphone 3G home button, it does not seem to respond. I thought it would be very frustrating if this case happens to anyone. I have browsed over the web and apparently there have been a lot of reported issues regarding the home button problem.

Here’s one link
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=387162

I do not know how to fix it yet, as I have not encountered this problem with my 2G iphone, or my girlfriend’s iphone 3G.

But something comes to mind, that only last week, another friend of mine suggested for me to install a Bossprefs Home Button. This is not the physical home button that you see on the iphone, but it is on the screen and acts like one.

This could be one of the solutions. However, Bossprefs can be installed on jailbroken iphones.

Flv players

leave a comment »

Flashvars are fun to work with. I was able to customize my own skin. I even created a player that feeds from xml to play a playlist and a one by one player. The good thing about these players is that they are not restricted to .flv file format, but it can also mp4 and m4v.

🙂
